Demo: Jay Sean – Ghost

In the music industry “demos” are a kind of currency. New artists record them to showcase their talent, writers record them to shop around to execs/producers, and other artists record them in the hopes that they’ll make an album, but often times they don’t. So what happens to them? They exist in a kind of purgatory, but sometimes we’re lucky enough to get our hands on them; oftentimes demos are fire, and unfortunately never see the light of day. Fashion was gaudy, hairstyles were tragic, George W. Bush was in his first year, yet there was a silver lining: music, especially music videos. Jessica Simpson may have just been a ditsy, big-titted, country girl with a heart of gold…
